Lance Posted February 19, 2008 Share Posted February 19, 2008 I like deconstruction, I really do. I appreciate the arrangement a lot for the deconstruction alone. That said, I hear a bunch of different motifs, ostinatos, etc. from a bunch of great pieces, but I find myself asking so what? What am I supposed to get out of this layering? pitboy06 Posted February 19, 2008 Share Posted February 19, 2008 i think it sounds pretty cool. ..but something about his drum corps writing just doesn't flow as well as what he does for groups like ronald reagan and broken arrow, in my opinion. ..like he's trying to hard to integrate his unique style into the drum corps idiom? i don't know. but i'll certainly keep listening!
