So in Shakespeare, Juliet is asking "Romeo, Romeo, why art thou Romeo," - I.e, why must you be a Montague, one of my family's enemies, and therefore someone I cannot love openly - and not "Romeo, Romeo, where art thou Romeo" as so many people think.Sorry, completely off-topic and unnecessary. But I'm an English major, and it's a pet peeve of mine. You beat me to it! IMO Pearl is junk. I marched Pearl for several seasons including 2 in drum corps. I hate just about everything about them. I have an English degree and a good job. It has nothing to do with English so I vent by correcting grammar as well. Usually removing commas. On topic. I agree. I love Pearl batteries, even better than Yamaha (Which I believe to be the most pricey). Phantom's snare sound has been absolutely incredible the last 5 or so years. I was disapointed when they made the switch to Dynasty. You can't really blame them. Pearl dropped the ball with PR last year or the year before. Plus, Phantom has had very public financial issues the last few years as well. There are definite monetary reasons to make the switch. Yamaha basses sound like cardboard. No depth to them at all. BTW, a pet peeve of mine are English Majors that think they have to correct everyone else's English. In my opinion, those red 2006 Pearl drums and the blue 2007 Pearl drums were one of the most popular of each season. Are you referring to the fact that in 2006, Phantom switched over mid-season? A lot. pretty sure you can get a job that's better than that without any sort of college degree... just a clean criminal record and work experience. There are lots of jobs for english majors.
