mobrien Posted May 6, 2008 Share Posted May 6, 2008 (edited) The reason we teach correct English and acceptable spelling is create ease in the reading of material in order to get the writer's intention across quickly. So is this where someone points out that in the above sentence, a better word choice would be "intent"? ("Intent" is generally associated with a definite action - as in "writing a sentence" - where "intention" has a weaker-willed, more speculative feel.)
