jwscv87
Oh, and by the way. Get ready for a child pornography post regarding Phantom's under 18 year old guard members laying down and spreading their legs up in the air in front of the horn line in the sexual suggestive pose. Hint: google the legal definition of possessing and distributing child pornography under the recent federal child porn law. Can you say prison time? Terriffic - now I feel like a jackarse for chiming in that your original post was a legitimate and fair question. I still think it was, but with the quoted comment above you have firmly pushed me into the camp that believes you are no more than a troll. kikitiki
I think the child pornography issue is ludicrous. When my kid was in guard in middle school, some school used their flag poles as stripper poles. As a parent I was a little shocked, but in the end it was just part of a story. If someone was out there taking pictures of the exposed areas, maybe we would have an issue of child pornography. In all honesty, I didn't even realize the DM had slit her throat until I read this post. Parts of the show shocked me....in a good way. I absolutely loved the show. I've gone to several high school plays that have had more violence in them.
DCIHasBeen
In Vista tonite, in Phantom's show I counted 3 deaths. 1 murder by a sword. 1 colorguard member has her throat slashed by the drum major. And a death (murder?) in the middle of the horn circle. This is for real, I'm not kidding. Does this bother anyone? Sounds like a Senior Corps show back in the day ... Maybe drum corps hasn't changed all that much.
crfrey71
Yeah, this topic is clearly a topic created by a troll. can we close it now?

CrunchyTenor
I am the original poster. I have read every response. I would have made the same post if any other corps had done this. I will comment further after tonite's show. After I get another take on the "controversial incident".Now, it's off to the watch practices and the Rose Bowl show. I'd highly recommend you stay away from cheerleading, ballet and gymnastics. You'll see more crotch shots there than any drum corps show. Seriously, you're reading WAY too much into this. If it offends you so much, don't watch it. You only sound like a voyeur by stating you want to "get another take on the 'controvesial incident'" You're offended, yet you want to see it again? It's theatre, done on a football field. Garry in Vegas

OK, obviously, you have some sort of beef with Phantom to even suggest this nonsense!!! And obviously, you aren't familiar with some previous Phantom Regiment productions which have used this same guard routine without any issues arising from it. Get off your PC horse and enjoy some #### good drum corps. What is your problem?!?!
