Metheny
Here is what it looks like from my angle... 1st and 2nd: Battle between BD and Cavies 3rd: Big battle between PR, Cadets, SCV, Crown and I guess Coats 8th: Boston 9th-12th: Battle between BLUE STARS, Glass, Colts, Sprit, Crossmen, PC, Madison Agree or dissagree???? fecontra
Agree or dissagree???? Me thinks ( IMHO ) you are a bit premature with your assumptions. Only a few days of full judge panels, and very little head to head competition so far. Re-writes are in full production, and much cleaning is taking place. Therefore I dissagree
heather anne
IMO, it's too early in the game to make predictions. We've still got almost a solid month of performances before finals; who knows what will happen?
ajlemm
Disagree. Remember '06? There was a fair amount of leapfrogging at Finals. Some were convinced BD would win, others Cavies, and even some felt the Cadets would still pull it off. PR leapfrogged BD and came in 2nd. Bloooooo leapfrogged Cadets into 4th! Man that was a great night!
chadwick
Blue Knights need to be thrown into the 9th-12th mix as well.
Phansouth
I think you've got a 5 corps race, with BD and Cavies wielding the talent and design to win, but a perfect PR , a really clean SCV or a reduced-narration version of Cadets could still make a play for the ring. IMO, I think it's a pretty safe bet to PENCIL in the Glassmen, Blue Stars, and Colts for a Saturday night spot. At this point, those three are very solid and out in front, but like others have said, It's far from over. I see 12th as being between, Knights, Spirit, Xmen, and maybe the Scouts. BRASSO
Here is what it looks like from my angle...1st and 2nd: Battle between BD and Cavies 3rd: Big battle between PR, Cadets, SCV, Crown and I guess Coats 8th: Boston 9th-12th: Battle between BLUE STARS, Glass, Colts, Sprit, Crossmen, PC, Madison Agree or dissagree???? Agree. It could shift around the margins with one or possibly 2 Corps shifting within a group, but nothing major. Will there be any MAJOR surprises from here on in ? Possibly, but DCI judging tends to be exceedingly conservative with Corps placements historically. And we know that we can start off pretty much every year with either BD, Cavs, Cadets winning the Title. (95% of DCI Titles last 35 years from these 3 ) Edited July 10, 2008 by BRASSO
cowtown
It’s going to be all Cavies, its their anniversary year
cmathis
I agree that probably either the Cavies or BD will win the gold from what I currently see this season, however things can change again this year like they did in 2006. And I agree with Phansouth that a reduced-narration version of the Cadets would have a very good shot at the gold also.
