Well what about what's important to him? He obviously loved the activity and wanted to be in the Blue Devils. Saying that he's devastated at not being able to march in no way detracts from the seriousness of the injury and we all hope and pray he recovers. But like you said, this is the real world, and in the real world he loved drum corps and now he can't do it. That my friend is devastating.

Thank you.

Back off the sniping and shake hands ... enough already.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Joe and his family and the entire Blue Devils family. Get well soon.

So he had an aneurysm burst? Here's hoping he comes out of this soon, and well.

The fact that he survived to GET corrective surgery is heartening....remains to be seen what lasting damage was done.

This is a director's worst nightmare....a MAJOR medical episode far from home.

I suspect if he's well enough to leave the hospital by finals, he'll be on the field in some fashion....similar to that guy from 88 Bluecoats who was wearing a halo for a broken neck....couldn't march, so they put him in the honor guard.
