JoeDz
Open Finals: Bucs..........CLASS of the field Cabs.....big push in final week ES...early August push...then caught by Cabs Hurcs....great July & early August.....might top out (if not......WATCH OUT !) MBI..... if they stick to drum & bugle...... could be top 3 soon Renegades.....percussion strong enough to move higher Brigs.....nice solid corps Bush.... color guard spread over other corps in 5-10 is big enough to do damage CV.......could be 8..... could be 11 Cru...... could be 11......could be
ea1974
Agreed. As for my comment about the Kilties. A good corps director with the experience and track record for putting together a progressive organization in many cases can and will lend credibility to the organization while a director without a track record might and will get scrutinized more. I have read many recap's where the judge realizes that the elements of the show are there only to find the members are not executing it properly. The judges know that Scott knows how to teach these kids to march based on his history but the kids are not grasping the execution. As to my comment about the Bushwackers.I probably could have chose my words a bit more careful.Lets face it though. They are struggling this year with numbers and execution.I am not sure they are even worthy of a top 10 finish at this point in the season but they will be there because of their track record. Recaps tell the story. The Kilties are not kids. Not to sound flaming, but what has Scott done lately?
pregimentx129
They finished what place last year? 7th place with a score of 92+?Year before that? 7th with a score of 86+? 05 a 10th place finish with a score of 84+ Dca judging at championships has been pretty consistent over the years.I could see Hurricanes moving up a singe spot this year.Maybe even two spots but a top three slot? Not going to happen.Saying that Hurricanes will be a top 3 contender is almost as bold of a statement that someone made about Cru being in the top 4 this year. ...the only corps that hurcs havent beat are bucs...to say that they would likely be beat by 5 other corps this year even though they have beaten ES, Cabs ext.is rediculas. i see them deff in the top three if not 2nd overall... LegalEagle50
eh i've gotten used to seeing that everyone keeps trying to put the Hurcs down and that's fine by me. it seems as if it is only building that fire to succeed more. after Barnum it was being said that they only won top guard because of the guard judge. yet they have consistently won that award since then. now it seems that people are saying they don't stand a chance to beat corps that they've already beaten this season. the next 3 shows are as important to them as prelims and finals and i guarantee that they are working both hard AND smart, especially with their current staff. this isn't a corps that finally is getting their show together at the end of the season. they came out from the start with intentions of moving up and haven't let up since. i'm not saying that corps can't or won't beat them. but i think everything they've already accomplished this season show the Hurcs aren't going to roll over and give it up without a fight. believing that they will don't stand any chance to do better than 4th in this race is just silly IMO. GO HURCS!!!!!!!!

Tom D'Bomb
oh hell it's all Rachacha to me. i'll stick to cracker barrell next to my hotel I predict that on Monday Sept 1, I will - once again - post "Just as I predicted," and at least 5 young DCP'ers will respond "Where? Prove that you predicted that!" That old trick never gets old.

By then, I should have a pretty good idea of the winners and the finalists. Fran
