bawker
Nice. I get a very 1990 vibe from that snip. . .yes, it's more WSS, but it's kind of like an old friend who has hot chocolate for you when Cadets do it like that.
bhs alumni
PS: Let's all take note of the the intonation now so that we can note the improvement by summer. agreed and as already said, it sounds like winter camps...does sound pretty good so far...here's hoping to a great show! va9590jm
I can't wait to see their show this year! Especially if its true that they aren't using narration, and just letting the music stand alone!
Rocketman
I know it's just me but, Cadets doing Bernstein = whatever. Been there, done that, I don't need another version of "variations on a Bernstein theme." Like I said, it's just me.
Harvey
The clip is nice. But, I have already heard a hornline sounding better than that this winter .
soccerguy315
I don't think it sounds that good... for whatever reason (winter, weird numbers in the line at this time, whatever) I think that opening will probably be significantly changed, which I will look forward too =)

BUT -- if they can find a way to put a reeeeeeally fresh spin on it, I'll be on board. To me, Bernstein (though I love his stuff the first through hundredth times I hear it) is in the dead horse category. Let's go beat a live one instead! (no actual horses or 07 Crown members were hurt in the posting of this message)
liebot
Yeah, there are intonation problems, but keep in mind that this is an audition camp. . . some people playing on this recording will be cut. Some people playing on this recording are nowhere near the level of talent the Cadets usually accept. So yeah, it's pretty badly out of tune. That is in no way a reflection of what the Cadets are going to sound like come August, or even come June.
gcsbaribc
Man, especially if you are from the 80s of drum corps this is really tasty stuff. This is the right time for a Lenny show from the corps formerly known as Garfield. Can't wait to see it on the field. Give us some great manooovahs! kaplac
beautiful! I'm excited to hear this on the field. Except it seems like the writing also provides enough space for narration as well...
