CrunchyTenor
Mark Twain was pretty good in the early 70's (played the Lord's Prayer). I remember they were Blue Rock's replacement at St. Joe's show in 1971. Their feeder corps was The Mark Twain Pilots. I have a good friend who marched Mark Twain Cadets, and later with Empire State Express. Who was the other corps that merged with MTC to form ESE? Well, there's always the Pacific Beach Albacorps! They actually marched with the proper spelling, the Albacores, and later changed their name to Golden Statesmen. Blue Mists-- Manhattan Beach, CA I remember them as a color guard, but don't recall a drum corps. KeithHall
I believe Mark Twain merged with Vestal Grenadiers BUT for some reason I don't remember Mark Twain being around in 1976 or 1977 and the merger took place in 1977-78. Mellofello01
I may be wrong, but I think Ray and his brother "Bucky" Fallon marched St. Rita's, too.My very first corps was an off shoot from the great St. Catherine Of Sienna Queensmen and the Marionettes all girls. The Queenaires - like many corps from Queens, NY were very obscure. Puppet "Bucky" Fallon, Rays younger brother, marched in St. Rita's, along with another brother, Tom (Sandstrom). Ray was in Viet Nam, and only marched in Oceanside and Sun.
