mikekhs
We had "Make our Garden Grow" as well as "Great Gate at Kiev" at our wedding. How did I possibly leave out Conquest? Maybe we'll renew our vows so we can HUH! Mike
Jeff DeMello
Francesca and I had the "Hawaiian Wedding Song" played at our wedding ... on the Wai'ali Beach on O'ahu ... sung by my cousin Jeffrey. I guess that makes it a "Drum Corps Wedding Song" now!

littlebirdy
Space Chords. No seriously. Did no one see that video of that wedding last year?
Suviduvi
I friend of mind, used this piece by Phantom for a wedding video, he said it blew peoples mind. They could not believe the sound. I'll go with the obvious, Phantom's '03 version of Canon in D
davam
We used a brass quintet version of Phantom's "Fire of Eternal Glory" for the processional; it worked great. If you time it right, it builds perfectly to when the bride comes down the aisle. If not, the arranger has a repeat built in if needed. The arranger is Bob Childs; if you're interested in obtaining the music, let me know. We also had a vocal of "Make Our Garden Grow," also a perfect drum corps/wedding tune. We also used "Flower Duet" (from Phantom's '07 show) for the mothers' entrance. Edited March 9, 2009 by davam
hrnguy500
I arranged "Serenade for Strings" Mvt I, by Tchiakovsky for 4 horns. Phantom plays this quite often as a warm up. It worked really well for a processional. It took a while to cut and past the best parts and find an ending but it was worth it.

VerdigoSop
I am actually planning my own drum corps wedding too, and I wanted to use Ave Maria (the Biebl arrangment). Did you find it for piano/organ? How did that work? Really curious and I would love the feedback! I had a drum corps wedding - a full mass in a Catholic Church - and we used the following song selections:PROCESSIONAL.........................“Ave Maria” – Shubert, ...............................................“Canon in D” – Pacobel, ...............................................“Trumpet Voluntary” - Clark PRESENTATION OF THE GIFTS.....“Ave Maria” - Beibl SIGN OF PEACE.........................“Let There Be Peace on Earth” COMMUNION.............................“Simple Gifts” CANDLE CEREMONY...................“One Hand / One Heart” - Bernstein RECESSIONAL...........................“Ode To Joy” FIRST DANCE............................"Let It Be Me" You may recognize some of the musicians too - ORGANIST: John Skilton CANTER: Stefanie Kressaty BRASS QUINTET : Joe Pero, Trumpet Travis Gould, Trumpet Chris Nalls, Horn Brian Haslanger, Trombone James Barany, Tuba Here are some ideas that we did as part of our wedding & reception: - The Officiant was Father Jim Murphy...a big drum corps fan! - Our videographer was John Christiansen, whose work you see around the activity - Our photographer was Sue Johnson, a drum corps photographer, SCV alum & corps mom - The entire wedding party wore marching shoes (hey, they actually look nice and are very comfortable!) - Hung colorguard flags from the ceiling - Had people sign a drum head instead of a guest book - Totally forgot the bride's garter and instead the groom tossed an orange cone - Each little bottle of bubbles had a tag that listed the name of a corps 'love song' and lyrics ("you are the sunshine of my life" or "I bless the day I found you") Is there a wedding in your future?
