Lincoln
Do Cavies still have the running water sound in their show? If I were marching that show I'd be running off the field to bathroom breaks a dozen times a practice.

byline
Sorry. Nothing can ever top the Russian/Mussorgky show. My favorite is, and probably will always be, the '87 show. Which, ironically, placed second to Garfield's "Appalachian Spring" show.
packetslave
I think it is actually much more like the part Vanguard played in the early 80s. I guess it gets compared to Garfield because so many more people know that show and they played it for the whole show. But the arrangements are completely different between 87 and 09. Oh, it's definitely a very different show, but it's fairly obvious that the designers put in some deliberate "nods" to Garfield (unstructured drill in the big Simple Gifts push into a company front, the "quiet" coda marching off in a block, etc.)
Watch & Listen
SCV just made my girlfriend cry and she is pretty brand new to the activity. San Antonio was her first show this year. Holy cow they were amazing tonight! pretty cool - thanks for sharing that!
