DAvery
I won't argue with your statement that the Cavies were the dominant corps this decade (though Devs certainly gave them a run for their money and 2001, 2004 AND 2008 could've easily changed the conversation but that's not how it played out). But "greatness that so far is incomparable in DCI"? No way. The Blue Devils did the same thing, winning 5 titles in 7 years from 1976-1982, and that with TWO undefeated seasons to boot. BD did not have two undefeated season between 1976-82. Only 1982 was undefeated.
MikeD
I disagree about your Cadets as the corps of the 90's. (surprise) BD went undefeated in the regular season in both 1994 and 1995. Won three of four years, and were dominant in many captions. They also didnt fall as low as Cadets did (1991) If you take those tid-bits into consideration, theres no comparison. G Well, the Cadets were voted corps of the decade of the 90's by the World Drum Corps Hall of Fame too.

Tone Quality Matters
Based on championships and show design. Cavies are a cut above everyone. However, if you want to put it out there based on the overall improvement and impact on the activity, then CROWN hands down.
NR_Ohiobando
Cavaliers. Never placed out of the top 4, and only placed 4th once in the decade. Phantom Regiment by a close second, only because they weren't as competitively dominant. They were pretty much the talk of the decade with a small exception to 2009. Ive turned into a Crown-"homer" of late but please tell me, what impact they have had on the activity, especially over, say, Cavies, BD, and Cadets..... jdpk3000
Every decade, the World Drum Corps Hall of Fame votes on it's Corps of the Decade.Past winners are: 1940's: Holy Name Cadets 1950's: St. Vincent Cadets 1960's: Chicago Cavaliers 1970's: Santa Clara Vanguard 1980's: Blue Devils 1990's: Cadets of Bergen County Who do you think is going to earn it? Championship years: Cadets - 2000, 2005 Cavaliers - 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2006 BD - 2003, 2007, 2009 Phantom - 2008 I've also iVanguard even though they have won a championship this decade just because they've still put out quality shows. EDIT: Removed Crown. I agree but i think that BD won the 80's and 90's......they won 4 titles in the 90's compared to the Cadets
VoC
Crown may be "most improved" but Cavies are the corps of the decade hands down. I remember marching in '02 and thinking that the Cavies were setting a whole new standard for brass playing and ensemble movement. btw, listen to the difference in brass sound from cavies 01 and 02.
