The Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps - 1988

"Concerto for Guitar and Jazz Orchestra"

Discuss...

I got to witness (what I believe to be) the first and only performance of "Concerto for Guitar and Jazz Orchestra" in the US as it is originally written. Its pretty epic, and somewhat unusual, though it's no wonder the Madison staff picked up on in back then....

It has to be 2006 Phantom Regiment. Their in-your-face beginning to Faust was unbelievably iconic. They leapfrogged at Finals and took 2nd in an energy-filled show that was setup by their opener.
