  1. For those that do not know... It is Lady Gaga's record hit "Paparazzi." Lady Gaga's real name is Stefani Germanotta.
  2. 2000 was the first year that Blue Devils used Dynasty percussion equipment after the switch from Yamaha. Methods of Madness was an EXCELLENT show. But, the sounds that the drumline was producing was horrendous and I'm not talking about the performers. Really happy to hear over the years that Dynasty has improved the quality of sound on their equipment. Just listen to the drumline closely during the entire show and compare it to the Cavaliers and The Cadets. Clear different in the sound of the equipment.
  3. Glad it is gone for DCI Championships. Cleaner field is a plus for all involved. Judges, fans, and instructors. Makes the visual and drill on the field pop out better.
  4. Santa Clara Vanguard 2006 "Moto Perpetuo" was an all original by Key Poulan.
  5. SCV 1999 - The Canyon (Philip Glass) Incredible.
  6. Great add to the PR team. His colorguard program at Winston Churchill HS was outstanding.
  7. Santa Clara Vanguard 2000 Pure emotion.
  8. Winston Churchill's music included: Meditation - Samuel Barber "Gallop" from Fancy Free - Leonard Bernstein Symphony No. 1 - Samuel Barber Medea's Dance of Vengeance - Samuel Barber
  9. Which shows have you seen from Plymouth Canton? Don Hill was PCEP's music arranger from 1994-2005. I highly recommend watching any of Plymouth Canton's shows from 1998-2001, L.D. Bell 2005-2007, and The Woodlands 2006. All masterpieces.
  10. Matt, Please go! It's shaping up to be another strong year at Grand Nationals. L.D. Bell (TX) is coming for a third straight year and is back to defend their national title. Broken Arrow (OK), Tarpon Springs (FL) and Kennesaw Mountain (GA) are back again. And, strong showings so far from the Indiana bands at the BOA Sound Check at Lucas Oil where first-third place was seperated by .65---Lawrence Central (78.95), Avon (78.85) and Carmel (78.30). Lawrence Central won no captions. Does 2001 Grand Nationals ring a bell?! Can't wait.
  11. Just to clarify.... Ronald Reagan HS has won numerous BOA Regional Championships and placed second at the Grand National Championships in 2003 & 2005. But yeah, Reagan's staff used to consist of Mark Chambers (Head Director), Kevin Nix (Assistant Director/Visual Director) and Aaron Guidry (Music Design). This year's staff includes J.D. Shaw as their music arranger and Mike Sloan as their visual designer.
  12. I can't wait until MalletKats hit the field for drum corps. I've heard and seen them over on the field for marching band over the past few years at the Regional and Grand National level at BOA and I love them...especially by the upper echelon bands--moat notably Ronald Reagan HS, TX during their 2001-2005 years. GREAT instrument.
  13. Go to YouTube and search "DCI - ties" When the search results come up, go to the video that says "1996 DCI Finals Scores Announcement"
  14. http://www.yea.org/site/News2?page=NewsArt...ws_iv_ctrl=1002 The Cadets percussion position has been filled.
  15. You're fine like the poster above said. I've printed many paper tickets over the years only using black ink and have had no problems.

Once Steve aged out of drum Corps he then turned his attention to the Music Educational aspect of the activity and accepted a staff position with the Glassmen, Troopers and the Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps before moving to Texas. 17. Anyone else have an opinion on the Indianapolis Bucca di Beppo? I went there during BOA Grand Nationals last year since a friend recommended it to me. I was disappointed by the food. Great service...but the Downtown Indianapolis location isn't up to par like some of the other Bucca di Beppo locations that I have been to.
  18. Where did you sit? I was in the upper deck and the crowd went nuts up there. No one is wrong. Maybe it depends on where you were sitting....

  20. I also forgot to mention this since tonight's DCI Houston show is located in Cypress. But.... Buc-ee's is coming to Cypress as well. The store is going to be located on Highway 290 and Mueschke Road.
  21. Haha. Please do! I work at the huge Buc-ee's store in Lake Jackson in Brazoria County. The Luling store is a great one though. But be prepared....Buc-ee's is building a store the size of a Wal-Mart in Madisonville, Texas north of Houston on Interstate 45. It's going to be 5 times the size of the Luling store on I-10. It opens later this year in November or December.
  22. I love the Houston show. A few of my favorite pics that I took last year.... Blue Stars Boston Crusaders Cavaliers Santa Clara Vanguard
