The way Blue Devils meshed Tchaikovski's Romeo and Juliet and Bernstein's West Side Story is one of my all time favorite shows. The way they opened that show gives me chills just thinking about it. Who ever made the decision to begin the show with the ending choral of Romeo and Juliet was pure genius. Such a good show and will get my vote ever time! I love 2009 Troop of course, but I don't see it so much as WSS as what it was meant to be - a mash up of WSS and other themes with a decidedly western flair. 84 Garfield will be engrained in my brain forever as one of the most beautiful and engaging shows I've ever seen. Anyway, some of you are already voting for 1987, so continue to do that.
