WTH!?

Why are they splitting the corps up like this?? How in the hell is this a championship? Oh and great price drop for half the corps per show...

As I said in another thread, I think I'll stay in Houston this year.

The Berry Center here in Houston is a much better venue, plus I can stay at home. When it returns to the Alamodome next year, I'll head back out.

My thoughts exactly

wasn't the san antonio show outdoors prior to 2000 or so? at the alamo bowl, maybe?

what's the big deal? the dome sounds like white noise anyway.

The Alamodome sounds just fine and I'm glad to go back there next year. It's a great LONG day of drumcorps!

So let's see

pay $90 instead of $55 to see the same corps

spend the whole weekend slowly roasting in south Texas July heat.

not even a championship show, really. Guess we will have two 'champions' by the end of the weekend?

As many former marchers as we have on DCP I find it ironic that people are complaining about the heat while WATCHING the performances.

If we can stick out through several days of rehearsal in Texas I am fully confident that you'll survive a few hours on your rear ends.

complain about the sound in the LOS, complain about heat outside. blahblahblah

Same way Allentown is.

And here's the stadium info I found:

http://www.texasbob.com/stadium/stadium.php?id=1149

Capacity: 10,000.

So, maybe 5,500 - 6,000 on the front side? Not very big at all for shows of this caliber. Better get a guarantee on the Alamodome for next year NOW, or move it to another city. Maybe OU???
