Akron, OH show, July 9!

Even Boston beat Carolina Crown in percussion tonite ( 16.10 to 16.00)

Crown lost it to Bluecoats primarily off their low percussion performance tonite.... 5th.

Was it the same judge who gave the Cadets last year thier undeserved 3rd place finish, making sure he put them 8th so they could not possibly have a shot? Because if it is then maybe he makes sure that his scores mean more than they should? Can someone check this out?

So...by this theory....when Bluecoats and Glassmen go head to head in Ohio who gets the bump? Or Phantom and Cavies in Illinois Or Pioneer, Blue Stars, Madison in Wisconsin??

you said the majority of its members were from Texas. Corps do stuff in their local area so people around the activity and local people like them more then others. How many times do you see a corps at a home show do bad?

The " Visual Performance " caption is what is referred to as primarily an " execution " caption ( as opposed to show integration abilities between brass, percussion, guard, or the level of complexity and demand, visual design, etc aspects of the show, etc ). As such, in simple laymen's terms, it is a) how well the marchers marched in terms of cover, spacing, hitting their spots appropriately, feet, head, instrumentation positioning, body control movements, etc and b) about a dozen other proper or improper marching techniques the "Visual Perf. " judged will be looking at to compare and contrast with others in competition... but the key phrase here in this caption is mostly " marching execution ".

And to add to this- It is adjudicated by one of the judges down on the field.

Crown had an off night tonight. That is probably due to the combination of learning new stuff and losing almost 30% of your snare line, but the simple fact is that Bluecoats were better and earned their victory.

When does Boston get their real show ending?

If you're a Crown fan,one can draw some comfort that at least 50% of the judges on this panel tonite will NOT be judging on Finals Night. Without going into detail, ( but trust me) this show was most assuredly judged by what I call mostly " B " listers. A few names there could be in the selection mix for Semi's and Finals. There are a couple of " A " teamers on this list tonite there in Ohio... but several are wet behind the ears with their judging training wheels still on... As such, there's no chance they'll be out there judging any of these Corps on Finals Night.

So now the judges are wrong because they had Crown second tonight? Where you not the same person who stood up for the judge last year that had The Cadets 8th in Percussion? So it's only ok if Crown comes out on top.

Does anybody here think The Cadets are 8th in any caption last year? That percussion judge in finals should be banned from last year! No one judge should be able to do that to anyone , I'm sorry. I would bet he is the same guy as last years finals that dumped Crown tonight in Percussion. Probably didn't have them 8th though, but would have if there were more Corps there! Crown is not 8th in anything either! Just wonder if its the same game changing judge?

Simple question that I can't believe I don't know the answer to:

Does the visual performance judge consider colorguard?
