They have not lost a competition since George W. Bush's first term in office.

Dunno what's scarier about that sentence- the first part or the second.

I would Say the Garfield run ... but I would push it to 83-93. 6 titles in 10 years ain't so bad. Most titles were won with a late season tear of terror, coming from behind. 90 was no acception, placing behind Vanguard at one point who eventually ended up 6th that year. Even the years they were 4th or 5th ........... they had everyone scared because they were improving so quickly in late July. You never knew where they would end up until Semi's ... even then they still had the opportunity to jump a spot or two overnight. Very Scary Corps in that era!!!! (possibly even now)

If we voted strictly by corps only, the Blue Devils would win. They are good enough to win every single year (yes, almost every single year)....but most specifically beginning with 1994 to the present day.

I'm talking that since 1994, BD finished 4th ONCE (2005), 3rd place 4 times (1995, 1998, 2000, 2006), 2nd place 4 times (2001, 2002, 2004, 2008), and World Champion 7 times (1994, 1996, 1997, 1999, 2003, 2007, 2009)....their "reign" since 1994 is still continuing on to this day, IMO.

True.

They have not lost a competition since George W. Bush's first term in office.

Think about that for a moment.

Reading hasn't lost a show since Labor Day, 2004, when they were third at DCA Championships. Yes, 2004.

Game, set, and match.

I remember when SCV was competing there were 180 Drum Corps in competition.

The corps that have won recently have beaten - hmmnn....15?

Much more impressive with the amount of corps that were beaten...

Yeah. I think that it's 45 or 46 consecutive shows. Bloody amazing!
