Though seriously, you can't really compete with Madison 95. And most of the shows that can actually compete with Madison 95 are Madison shows anyway. I went with Madison.

Its funny that the 95 Scouts took 4th by almost 3 points. This just floors me.

I have seen both live, on video, and listened to both on CD. There is no realistic comparison here. The 1995 Madison Scouts production was titled "A Drum Corps Fan's Dream," designed completely for the benefit of all spectators. IMO, the 2010 Blue Devil's production was something that is rather difficult to describe, and designed for...?

I think the answer to this opinion question can best be determined by observing the crowd reactions throughout each performance. Arguably, both shows "moved" the audience. Again, IMO, generally speaking, one moved them to their feet, the other seems to have moved them from further appreciation of the idiom.

Madison Scouts 1995 was the most exciting show of all time for me. There's no other show in that era or any other era that will match.

Respect to the Scouts and a great show in '95. But (and I never thought I'd find myself saying something like this, not having been a big fan of theirs over the years) it's BD 2010 for me - the most amazing thing I've ever witnessed on the field.
