Galen
That's because those corps performed at the first night and forgot to change their schedules accordingly, thus they were scratched from the second night's line-up as I had mentioned a few posts ago. gcurrier
A nice run by Jupiter on Saturday night! Very close score margin to our Regiment friends. We are a bit surprised to have the high score of the weekend. Not sure if CLASS noticed but FANFARE corps are the top 4 of 5 in World Class and 1-2-3 in Open. Saturday judges went a little CRAZY with scores is all--hence Cape Cod Regiments 4 point jump! I think they all had a little wackey tibackey before the show! gcurrier
when are point increases today?
Galen
The latest points increase is now in effect. The limits are now 148/113/83. After a day of rest (and the Executive Director's 30th birthday!) the DCPI corps are back on the road, working their way through a balmy heat wave as they head down to Texas. Today also marks the start of the Open/Class A tour, which will give Open and Class A corps an opportunity to perform in venues more suited to their size (and to avoid the heat down south!). World class corps take the field at Winfield HS, just outside of Wichita, Escondido HS in San Diego and the long-awaited return of the Tennessee Nipples' home show in Memphis TN! Open and Class A corps have their first show at Carson Park in Eau Claire WI:
Galen
Scores from yesterday are being delayed until the Lebanon IL DCI recaps are available. In the meantime, here are today's events. The second open/A event takes place at Dubuque University's new stadium, and world class corps head down south with events at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia AR, Owasso HS in Tulsa OK and Salpointe HS in Tucson AZ:
hostrauser
Scores from yesterday are being delayed until the Lebanon IL DCI recaps are available. How long should we wait before you just say "screw it" and generate scores? Edited July 20, 2011 by hostrauser
Galen
The Executive Director is making an "executive decision" and doing exactly that. Anybody who wants to propose an off-season rule change to that effect has my blessing to do so.
Galen
Big night for FANFARE at the Nipples' homeshow in Memphis! Caprice came, saw and conquered with their Julius Caesar show, just edging out the Nipples and leading a group of 4 Fanfare corps in the top 5 spots along with Star of Jupiter and Polaris Regiment. We're definitely not at a loss for excitement this season.
