corpsband
After watching Crown rehearse all day and then watching the corps perform tonight, I gotta say.... I wonder if Crown may just have timed things right. The promised ending is pretty exciting. And they may have just left enough minor scuffs and rubs left to clean that they can seriously improve the show every single day between now and finals. They were pretty much smokin' in their final run today. Lot's of dirt that I saw in ATL has been cleaned up. Gonna be interesting tomorrow night.

Nice job. The other thing that will have to happen for anyone to advance this weekend, obviously enough, is the show can't be even partially rained out or go exhibition only/no scores for even some corps (which the forecast suggests could well happen), or they'll likely have to wipe out everything from Allentown in seeding quarterfinals. But I've evidently missed another discussion in another thread. Why is it unsettled as to whether or not Minneapolis is a regional whose scores count in determining quarterfinals seeding, along with San Antonio, Atlanta, and Allentown? arno0940
I really hope **fingers crossed** that if we get rain and thunderstorms that it comes this afternoon and clears up by showtime. I NEED to see the Cadets live - my only chance this season. Some thoughts from last nights show... PIONEER - good quality in a small package. I haven't seen the members from Pioneer perform with such confidence and pride in many, many years. CASCADES - some good moments, but still so much dirt. TEAL - Missed due to washroom break. TROOPERS - To be honest, I had them below Glassmen tonight. Still holes in the brass (the ones I saw at the end of June) in August...not good. While the show has cleaned up immensely since I last saw it, I wasn't as wowed as I had hoped I would be. GLASSMEN - This show is night and day from June. WOW! Good job Glassmen. BLUESTARS - Some great moments that I just don't think they are getting credit for. I also think the performers could be selling it a bit better. I had them 4-6 points above Troopers/Glassmen. MADISON - The Closer lives up to the Hype. Typically Madison fans would have been on their feet throughout but given the emotional component to this show, you could have heard a pin drop in that closer...until the end of course when the fans went nuts! BLUECOATS - Love that opener - things kinda stay somewhat static after that point. Some good moments though. PHANTOM - Now this show IS phantom. Great performance tonight and probably my favourite Phantom show in years. Ending is still missing something - not sure what it is. CAVALIERS - To be honest, I was wanting more. I saw this show at the end of June, and at that time I thought it was amazing. I thought Phantom would have been closer. Now onto tonight....
