It's never a Phantom show without a dead drum major and the crowd on their feet before the end of the show. AWESOME!!

Other than 08, what other years have DM's/members been killed?

In your opinion.....alot of people don't find SCV's music appealing. AT ALL

agreed

I do.

And you have that right, as does DCIMonkey, and Mike Ferlazzo. The poster that was being quoted went after someone as 'the most ignorant thing he'd ever heard' for voicing that opinion.

We WIll Rock You

Symphonic Dances

Bohemian Rhapsody

Piano Concerto No. 2

Piano Concerto No. 1

So why is Phantom Regiment in 5th?

Because they score fewer points than the 4 corps in front of them...DUH!

I'm with you on this one. It's just so mail order.

To me Phantom is the ultimate iPod show. They're one of the only drum corps you can consistently count on for having arrangements very true to the originals, with a usually real good horn sound and serviceable percussion. But their visual program is usually "so mail order," as you put it for me. I like their show this year, more than many past years (including more than 2008, though 2008 had better performers that were fun to watch play) but if I had to pick a hot dog corps for 2011 DCI Finals, it would probably be this show.

But, yeah, I know I'm way in the minority (which means the hotdog line would be way small  )

Either way, I wouldn't want to miss their performance and it's a good show, but yeah: 'mail order.' (by the way, that's such a better phrase than "stock" - kudos)
