Quad Aces
Does anyone else think this sounds A LOT like the show announcement for Cavaliers' XY production of 2011? '...discovery of natural ability or by making extreme sacrifices, human beings are individually and collectively capable of super-human achievements.' It's been done, Crown :-( I was hoping for something a little more ground-breaking. Again, it's all about the theme these days... Seriously?? You're honestly disappointed in Crown this year because the WRITE-UP sounds similar to a WRITE-UP from the past?? Forget the write-ups and the themes - listen to the source material for Crown's show and go back and watch the Cavaliers show (which I liked) and see if you think both of them are going to be the same.

I'm sure you could find quite a few band, corps, and indoor show descriptions that sound the same. Doesn't really have anything to do with what ends up on the field. Anyways, Cavies are doing a classical/pop mash-up, so we can call things even between the Green and Cream teams. Unless, like generic show announcements, the classical-pop mishmash show was invented before 2011. But surely it wasn't . . .
MikeN
Don't put too much stock in the writeups. Repertoires mean much more. (Go read the Colts' treatise, for example...) Mike

corpsband
Yes.... and seeing and hearing the Corps trumps repertoire, write ups, and PR press releases. Hurry up June ! If Crown would start posting "Crown Minutes" again like they did in '09 and '10, we would ALL get to see and hear the corps !! (that's a not-so-subtle hint, Eric Sabach !!) (that's a not-so-subtle hint, Eric Sabach !!) Yes. Crown, to their credit, is not the only Corps that doesn't really give us fans much to hear of the music at camps. Pretty much all of them are on high level security lockdown mode in the offseason. I think it has something to do with Homeland Security measures to prevent the public from being attacked by Jihadists... or something like that, I would imagine. madalumni
I echo the statement of many others - Writeups mean very little. It's about the source material and what they do with it...and Crown has not failed to entertain me yet! (And on and on we could go)
