garfield
I'm probably the last one to figure this out, but it now seems clear where Cadets got the theme for this year's show.
cowtown
Maybe, I was thinking Hoppie was having a mid-life-turn-to-god-crisis ever since Sarah Jones’ cancer scare in 2008, he hasn’t been the same...Toy Soul_der, angels and demons, 12.25…
jwillis35
I still get the sense that he and his team want to do one more patriotic show. They thought about Pearl Harbor this year, so who knows, maybe next summer they will give us something patriotic. I would like to see a show in that vein, but one that is much more reverent, regal, without using the typical music for such occasions. What I would love to see is a travel-through-time show in which the corps begins the show in Revolutionary War fashion, perhaps using the music from The Patriot (and yes, even using Fifes if allowed), then moving to the Civil War (perhaps a tip-of-the-cap to the Bridgemen), then to WWII and closing with a medley of military marches as a sort of grand finale. Complete with 128 members, G bugles, and no amps.
geluf
How about a one-to-one remake of Star 92? Complete with 128 members, G bugles, and no amps. Or you could just watch Star 92?
garfield
Not sure which direction this thread went, but I was just curious if anyone else recognizes that the tunes are the same. No one's commented on that, my original, point.
charlie1223
Though I have heard the show a number of times already I didn't hear the corps song (oh Christmas tree) anywhere!! In the big company front at the end of the show they should be playing THAT. That would make me go crazy. Just an idea to sit on ;) Edited June 19, 2012 by charlie1223
