BackBeat
Top 12 so far ... I have: 18 Cascades 17 Troopers 16 Colts 15 Crossmen 14 The Academy 13 Glassmen 12 Blue Stars 11 Blue Knights 10 Cavies 09 Spirit 08 Boston 07 Scouts 06 Bluecoats 05 SCV 04 Phantom Regiment 03 02 01 I like this but I think you got 10 thru 15 a little mixed up. Crossmen will be in the 11 thru 13 mix along with Blue Knights and Blue Stars. I have Crossmen at 11th but I'm not sure if they will get that jump here. Glassmen will be a little further back. supersop
Exactly. It might be my favorite show of the night so far simply because it's so unique and is that way by nature, and isn't trying to be anything it isn't. It shows the genius of the design staff to pick a concept that lends itself to their style so well. I kinda feel the same way .. but I'll take their visual program (drill) for what it is. BD, BK and Academy will be watched again .. for this very reason. Very unique and intriguing shows that are going to require another view or 20. BK and Academy for sure for this reason. Also have to rewind SCV because I didn't get to watch them .. and Crown just for the music (their drill bugs me as bad as BD's for very different reasons). MotorCityMusician
One thing I will say for the Blue Devils: they keep me engaged at all times. This show is just zany, wild, at times exciting, at times perplexing, but always interesting. They are good in all captions. No real weaknesses across the board. I can see it winning tonight, but I think Crown has the overall better show. I want to see this BD show live. I think I will love it live. Never seen anything quite like this. Risking absurdity? :p
ashevillemurphy
wonder why they insist on pronouncing the "dot" in 12(dot)25 .... as opposed to just "twelve twenty-five" .....

Cardman
Well, BD hasn't taken out all of that super annoying talking that goes on during their show...looks like this is still a hotdog corps for me this year. It's a shame too, because the kids are absolutely amazing. Awesome marching/drill. Check. Awesome playing/musicality. Check. Entertainment. Check.(sporadic) Annoying as hell to the point of infuriating me and wanting to punch a baby. CHECK. I bet they win, too. Yaaayy for new judging sheets ensuring we are getting more entertaining shows At least they go on last next week in Denton so I can leave early and beat traffic... Sorry, but those are my true feelings on this show. I SO want to like them, but they won't let me by their awful choices. Next year, perhaps.

I have BD in 1st .. losing GE Visual and Music GE .. first corps to ever win a show without winning GE? We'll see how Cadets fit in.
