hurcwave
How many years is DCA in Annapolis? TWO years.. BIDS for 2014-15 begin after this DCA.... Fran Haring
It sort of rocks. The sight lines and sound rock. The restrooms, concessions, parking, seating, and accesibilty in that place absolutely sucks. Not to mention the warm-up sound bleeds over into the stadium badly. The Annapolis venue is superior in EVERY way. Location, neighborhood, parking, access, restrooms, concessions, walkways, seating, access to hotels and restaurants...you name it. Totally agree. Plus... downtown Allentown isn't exactly... shall we say... a "Chamber of Commerce" neighborhood anymore. Downtown Annapolis.... City Dock, West Street, etc... is wonderful.

It's not even close. I love that stadium; it is a great place to perform. I wish USBands had kept Nats there, even though MetLife is close to us...and the kids love the NFL stadiums. For audibility, can't beat Annapolis.

Kamarag
The feel of Navy-Marine Corps Stadium itself is very much like the new stadium at the University of Mimnesota in Minneapolis, where the DCI regional is held. It's scaled down some, but the stadium construction and vibe is the same.

melligene
Allentown is a nice venue. Are we talking J.Bernie Crum or whatever? If so....have they installed parking and escalators yet? Just curious. Haven't been there in a while but can't do the hill climb.
androidx2
The problem is the Navy football schedule. Yesterday they played Notre Dam over in Ireland and next year I think they are away as well on Saturday. I don't know the particulars but I would imagine the teams home/away schedule is one of the bigger hurdles.

dc fan-atic
Will take your word for it on al of the pluses for Annapolis as we didn't make it this year, first time in some 12 years or so, but I miss the downtown block party in Rochester and while there were some negative issues with the backround noise for the minicorps, the auditorium venue allowed the hornline to be clearly heard. Not sure how that worked out at Annapolis as I have not seen any comments on the competition.
