scrappyslap
from a Facebook post: "getting kicked out of DCA is like the Beta House saying you're too wild for them in Animal House" So we are on double secret probation
Fran Haring
I am amused that the "voice" of DCA is not a spokesman for DCA. heheheh Wise guy.
Jeff Ream
I'd like to know why the link to a public domain website I posted here earlier us gone. No offense but mods that's just enabling the continued buried heads in the sand people in this activity display. I mentioned no names while posting that link. Funny given some of you reacted when the Sandusky scandal broke, now this. And no message to justify its removal. I'm sure ill get punished for this. Oh we'll. if posting that link kept any drum corps from having child abusers involved, the better. That DCP took it down just shows you're the Graham Spaniers of drum corps Edited October 12, 2012 by Jeff Ream
Kamarag
There's a site mod stealth-removing posts. I had one deleted that wasn't even remotely in violation of site policy.
Diceman
As you might have read in my post I was quite shocked to see open containers in the street in Rochester as here in TN and most of the south open containers is a NO NO. Most of the time if your a adult in my age bracket they just have you pour it out on the street. Maybe give you a stern warning or lecture. They do hand out $75 fines if the feel it appropriate or if you are really young or underage drinking. If your staggering drunk they will get you for public intoxication and the open container so they hit you with a double wammy. Just saw that last night down town. So I went out of my way to be sure I was going to be a respectful law abiding open container carrying drunk in the streets of Rochester by asking the officer if it was ok before doing it. :):):) What more do you want out of me????? :):):):) When I first moved to Florida in the mid-70s there was no Container Law - including having one in your car while driving. You also didn't need a separate Motorcycle License (it was considered a two-wheel vehicle, just like a bicycle) and the only Insurance you needed for it was PIP, which ran about $14/year. We still don't have a Helmet Law - but now you need to pass a motorcycle driver's test and the insurance runs as much as a car. How times have changed... Oh well, at least they did away with Vehicle Inspections! Heh...
JimF-LowBari
DCA didnt point any fingers, nor start the thread. Nor add fuel to the fire with "our side of the story" responses. And just so there is no misunderstanding, that is a compliment to DCA. Heh <$1 to Ron> guess I was being too tactful and confused my intent... Diceman
Question: How can a non-European corps compete at the European Championships? (Do they have a European sponsor?) DCI and DCA don't bill their Finals as the "US Championships" or "North American Championships", but "Drum Corps Europe" seems pretty specific... (Shrug) Understand, I've been a Rene-Fan for over a Decade and I think it's a great move on their part. I'm just curious how this works... Can the Renegades also compete at the DCUK Championships if they want? How about DCJ? That might possibly be closer... Heck, the Renegades could be the first true Internal Drum Corps on the Planet! Heh...

Heh... There have been other corps who've traveled to other countries to compete, off the top of my head I can think of the Blue Devils who traveled to Europe in 2005, and I seem to remember hearing about a corps who had half the corps in California, and the other half in Japan. Jeff Ream
What's the world without Europe? I can see it now: " on the field, from Transylvania, please welcome the Renegades"
