Cadets should have hired a professional script writer to polish the dialog, and an acting coach to help the kids that had the speaking parts. That would have helped immensely, as would have removing most of the "rehearsal" dialog that wrecked Blue Shades. It's evolution. Back in 2007, to write a show around voice (deliberate gaps without music), was very risky. I think the kids did very well without pre recording sections. The amount of narration these members were responsible for was very demanding, only to jump back into the brass line and start gunning again.
