I really am not for lip syncing but if, as people have complained, the mic issues have happened many times, then is that something the corps should be thinking about for Indy?I don't know how much prerecording is allowed. Do you really hear a difference between a mellophone mic'd at the bell and a French Horn mic'd at the bell? No, you don't, it's total GE and has nothing to do with the sound.
