The title of this thread makes it sound like you're asking which corps has the most druggies. (Seriously.)

Clearly that is not the intent of this poll. The first poll which was titled "which State has the highest number of DCI marchers" was flawed. Unfortunately, I forgot two key words while creating this poll ( I was hoping no one would try to make a connection as Michael Boo did and throw the thread off topic ).

HAH I just noticed that. So Colorado and Washington win by default, correct?

Sorry about that, but it's something I do best even when I'm not trying.

I have no way to back this up, but I would think that not a ton of kids from NY march (compared to the population of the state), as it doesn't have a very competitive marching band scene. CA, FL, TX, and IL all do.

I can't attest to the current condition of the marching band scene there now but when I marched in the early - late 90's it was fairly competitive. My highschool alone had several member of drumcorps from 1992-1999: two in Cadets, one in Bluecoats, two in Crossmen one in Phantom and >30 who marched in DivII and III corps Spectrum, Patriots, East Coast Jazz. When I marched Crossmen we probably had around 20 kids from NY which is a fairly significant chunk of the corps.

Upstate New York has had a VERY competitive HS marching band scene, at least in the 80s and 90s. These bands competed at MBA/BOA and did quite well (West Gennessee, Liverpool, Cicero-North Syracuse, etc. Some of those programs have changed, and others are still pretty good.

Having gone to school(and later taught at that school for 15 years) in upstate New York, I can confirm cajal assertions. In the 80' and 90's there were quite a few VERY competitive programs in the area.
