zooma
Great to hear about the performance energy, even with the heat! Go Legends!
defeldus2
Temperature has dropped a lot to a comfortable 87 and breezy. Surf on now, much more serious show this year. Great brass stuff from where I'm at.

IllianaLancerContra
Thanks for your insights. How do tours get finalized, given that not all corps have the budget to tour as widely as others? I don't know the answer - maybe someone has calculated how many miles each corps covers each year, over time it may average out, but that is just a WAG. George Dixon
I don't know the answer - maybe someone has calculated how many miles each corps covers each year, over time it may average out, but that is just a WAG.DCI tour guys essentially book the large shows first and then plug in the corps sponsored shows and then the local return shows and then first year shows. Corps pay entry fees to the dci shows, the non dci shows pay corps that sign up for their shows. Then the corps directors sign up based on their tour intentions and the big shows they must/want to attend. Member corps first, non members next. Performance fees based on last year's competitive finish. Etc etc etc... Edited July 10, 2016 by George Dixon
