Same thing happens in recruiting elementary or middle school band......until they find out they are going to learn to read. Saw their drumline in the lot last night and they SLAMMED I can't deny the talent of their members. Just the product in comparison to groups around them. ie. KVG_DC
If ever I was a show organizer, I would have a mini football game during intermission and call it the halftime show.
N.E. Brigand
By my count, this was the number of performers in the Open Class corps: 123 - Gold (9/5/5/5b, 66h, 17p, 16g) 96 - Golden Empire (9/4/5/4b, 41h, 14p, 19g) 59 - Watchmen (7/4/5/0b, 22h, 12p, 9g) 43 - Impulse (8/4/4/0b, 19h, 4p, 4g) 30 - Incognito (4/2/4/0b, 9h, 5p, 6g) Corrections welcome. (For one thing, I just realized I again forget to count the DMs.)
N.E. Brigand
And for three of those corps, their season ends two weeks from tomorrow. (Gold and Impulse will go on to championships in August.)

Looks like percussion is broken out, but not brass. Edited July 2, 2017 by jjeffeory

After I had so much trouble with the DCI West stream, FloMarching told me to switch from Firefox to Chrome, and the stream was nearly perfect last night and so far tonight. I second this and mine has been beautiful.

Looks like percussion is broken out, but not brass. I go with b = battery, h = horns (i.e., brass, but I already used b), p = pit, g = guard. No way I can break down the specifics on the brass and actually still enjoy the performance.

Still amused that the first place DCI corps, first place DCA corps, and third place DCE corps (who I would have put in first) all played "Heat of the Sun" last year. (Correction: it's "Heat of the Day.") Edited July 2, 2017 by N.E. Brigand Because of a dumb mistake.
