In 4 years, he's gonna be a monster. He plays the solo super well every night. I just can't ever hear it that well because something is wrong with the micing.
Kevin.
I haven't been an overly effusive Blue Devils fan as of late, but I saw them at NightBeat and the last couple of minutes of their show just absolutely blew me away. I mean, I will admit that I actively fought against loving it and lost convincingly. BD is for real this year.
2muchcoffeeman
I think BD is on to something with these opening rifles. Would love to see a throwback guard . . . . at least for part of a show . . . that makes a big thing out of some large-number precision spinning.
DrumManTx
These voiceovers were a perfect addition.
DrumManTx
BD puts those drums on full exposure from the get go. Ballsy.

The camera work reminds of an exhibit I went to at the art institute a few years ago. A woman took photos while on horseback. It was a bunch of blurry photos. I was thinking "this is art?" RickCogley
Tuning in late, watching on Flo. Flo: invest in some gimbals, for Pete's sake. Camera work at field level is _so_ shaky. PR: wow, pit sounds over amped, so much so that the shakers and whatever became the main course - an odd mix for sure. Percussion super clangy. Bloo: great soloists and gotta hand it to that brassline for playing great while absolutely booking it across the field. Amazing. Snare solo on the contraption is clean this year; much cleaner than last year.
