Hillary is amazing.

My wife just got back after five weeks of baby sitting our sons first child and one night Hillary and Chris had them over and Hillary cooked Mexican.  Both families are about three miles apart in Brentwood.  As you probably know, she's expecting twins early next year.  (Our son started work there in the Spring after several years at the Staple Center, so if you're upset you can't carry your side arm into the Opry anymore, you can blame him.)

It's offseason, so nothing better than perusing new and crazy amazing brass arrangements.

The Smoking Section is a collection of elite Nashville session players. They perform together as a 15 member band once every six weeks or so only in Music City, to packed houses. And you will quickly discover why.

wow - despite all the talent on display and the fingering gymnastics - that was TERRIBLE

turning "Hello" it into an upbeat groove fest is an artistic disaster - makes zero sense

arrangement choices MUST make sense - many of these decisions do

it's also trite and highly repetitive in many aspects

similar to several emotionally flat musical arrangement moments in DCI this past summer from Crown, Cavaliers among others

JMO

Reminds me very much of a band I follow in Las Vegas, Santa Fe and the Fat City Horns. They play it all, including a lot of Tower of Power and EWF tunes. Amazing musicians. http://www.santafeandthefatcityhorns.com/videos/ They had been playing at either the Palms Casino or South Point for quite a while, but with renovations at Palms, they're currently on hiatus there. Well worth checking out if you're in Vegas and looking for some entertainment.

I think it is funny that we feel the necessity to inject the initials jmo when it is more than obvious that it is opinion. 2+2= 4 in base ten is fact; thinking this stuff is a terrible artistic disasterous trite making no sense is wrong, oops, check that, um opinion, yeah that's it, opinion.

Wrong is fact. Opinion is opinion

I should buy this site back and ban about 15 members which would vastly improve its tone and likely popularity. And that's JMO and also based on experience lol

I hated the arrangement. Others like it. Doesn't make anyone right or wrong

I know Steven Curtis Chapman really well. Two wonderful families.

I like their arrangement of Uptown Funk. No as much Hello.

I will be sure to check that one out. They are clearly extremely talented. You and I always seem to agree on music arrangements
