TroopALoop
Troopers aren't exclusively holding auditions in Texas. Just last night they announced auditions in: Boston, MA Boise, ID and Casper, WY Also read they are working on even more locations throughout the U.S. Plus, the Troopers were one of the first corps to have a monetized video audition method that is still online now. It seems that they are making an attempt to spread out a little bit which is pretty cool. What do you think is the biggest challenge in recruiting kids into the Troopers?

Imo, The Troopers biggest challenge is really the same as it is with all the perennial non TOP echelon Corps in DCI : 1)retaining many of the most talented marchers in the Corps and not grooming them each season for the upper echelon DCI Corps. Few of the World Class Division Corps, especially in the 8th to 16th placement ranges have trouble recruiting kids. These Corps all get sufficient numbers from the auditions to fill out their sections. So recruitment is not an issue. It takes less time than it takes to fly to Denver and take the corps bus up to Cheyenne. If you want to audition for any corps, you're going to have to get on a plane anyway, unless you happen to live within a reasonable drive of the camp location. Ain't nowhere in America that's within a reasonable drive of Casper, Wyoming. That has been the case since Jim Jones opened the doors. They have been having camps in Indy for a few years now
