I saw 6 finalist corps for $50 where some people are paying that for 4 groups half finalist/half not. Minneapolis used to be a huge show and now it doesn't even exist. I guess it depends. When I’d go in the Chicago area, it was mostly old people, too.

They are fantastic and there are tons of fans down there, but it would be nice to see more big shows and regionals come back to places like Madison, Minneapolis, Ypsilanti, Buffalo, and I would love to see a DCI Canada again. With the summer tours getting shorter I realize there are only so many places the corps can go. Baltimore! It's a frigid 90 now, down to 67 tonight 🥶

The main reason for this is of course how band crazy Texas metros are with the tens of high schools in each that compete in the various marching circuits we all know. and the directors always promoting the activity to them. DFW, Austin-San Antonio, and Houston, full of ‘em

It wouldn't make sense for corps to drive that far for just 1 show and nothing in between. none of this is being eliminated - Texas tour is VERY profitable in terms of gate, merch sales as well as member recruitment.
DCFAN
Who is going to sit in the stands in this heat and how could you really enjoy the shows. Maybe DCI can sell it as a weight reduction plan. You can sweat off 10 pounds while enjoying your favorite corps.

Current temp at 6pm in Lawton is 111. Again, I urge DCI to alter next summers tour northward. This extreme heat will be the norm now, and will get even hotter in the coming years. Don’t see it happening my friend🤐
