My one live show this year!  And it’s two minutes from my house.

High of 100 degrees and winds between 6-16mph.  Fantastic intimate stadium, has been a huge enrichment to the marching band community to have this show here for the third year in a row.  Tons of local connections to Blue Knights and Troopers.

7:40pm - Guardians

7:57pm - Seattle Cascades

8:14pm - Pacific Crest

8:31pm - The Academy

8:48pm - Mandarins

9:05pm - Troopers

9:22pm - Blue Knights

9:39pm - Encore

9:47pm - Scores

Probably no play by play for me, but will make sure to post a review afterwards!

Is that why Blue Knights get to go on last? I couldn't for the life of me figure out any logical reason why BK would get to go on AFTER two 2022 finalists at a show in Texas.

Crazy they get 3 encore shows in a row!  Nice little scheduling block there!

A++ for the Title of the thread. Wicked is my favorite Broadway show. I have seen it 3 times recently. Twice in Ohio and once in NYC. This should be a great DCI show. Too bad you can't attend the San Antonio show because you write the best reviews.

Fun Fact: The show coordinator for this show is Dr. BJ Brooks, who is on the music faculty at West Texas A&M and a FMM of both Troopers and Blue Knights. And his son Tobin is DM at Troopers this year! Puts on a great show every year!

Huh, I just realized that with the exception of Guardians, every corps at this show is considered a “West” corps. Wonder if that’s intentional.

I think it’s our relation to DATR, Canyon/Amarillo is right on the way to DFW/Austin/San Antonio.  Have a feeling we will draw those corps for the most part.  Wish BAC or BD was here but understand them getting on their way to Broken Arrow 🫡

That does suck.  I just don't get why schools wouldn't want to support it, especially as it just helps your school and students also!

Hint:  Look up Drum Corps Member Abuse- I’m not surprised that they are leery of letting them stay over.   Easier to say no.
