I find it hard to believe that after being informed of the incident, BD just shrugged their shoulders and said, sure why not. 

I have to agree with you. There are 2 sides of the story, and we have no idea how the accused is presenting his side. Maybe his explanation was plausible which is why BD allowed him to make the corps.

It’s mostly an assumption. He hasn’t been seen at practices ever since his name was made public
