It’s a way of keeping the Steve Reich influence alive IMO. That’s why I love it. Bloo brought Steve Reich’s counterpoint pieces to the field in an incredible way and even though they’ve moved on from that, the use of dialogue to inspire musical rhythms is still a covert way of drawing from his work (thinking specifically of “Different Trains,” which turns interviews about WWII into music exactly like Bloo does with the Blake poem this year.) I love it.
