Just a thought- BOA had a Regional at Rutgers. Why not try that stadium for DCI?

Probably cost. That’s most likely the reason

DCI has deeper pockets than BOA. If BOA can make it work, then DCI should be able to.

The BOA event had 18 bands. Understanding 18 bands on the east coast (smaller than the average WC corps) is different than 18 bands in a metro area of TX (larger than average DCI corps), but there are ways to make compromises, such as at Lucas OIl for BOA, where you unload, perform, then move your trucks/busses to another lot. Surely a campus as large as Rutgers has unused lots during a Saturday in summer where there are no classes happening that a compromise like this could work.

Rutgers has hosted DCI shows.   Stadium A.  Everything else F.   There are better options.  But East isn’t going anywhere.   JB Crumbling down is here to stay.

Then Allentown should step up & if they want the revenue, then fix the venue.

That’s the thing.  While Allentown (the city) rakes in a lot of $$ from tourism , the school district doesn’t really make a lot (so lots more left for DCI.)  The stadium is cheap to rent compared to many other venues.

And.  It’s a huge tradition no one is ready to let die.

Allentown ordered the replacment materials.....it's on back order like so many things these days. they tried to get it fixed.

and Rutgers is a logisitcal issue. sue it had 18 bands, but those 18 bands don't bring in the amount of vegicles and fans a DCI Regional would. Franklin Field would also be a logisitical nightmare.

Chester, the Linc...grass. Penn State was mentioned someplace...grass, and nowehre near enough hotels or housing for corps. i tried to book a hotel in February for the PSU homecoming  game scheduled for October and the closest was an hour away for $900 a night. and i'm honestly not sure if the sideline area is deep enough.

MetLife...expensive. Syracuse is a logisitical nightmare and makes the RCA Dome sound good.

Annapolis would be an option i'd be game for, but i know there's noise ordinance issues
