Dead Corps You Want Back

Recommended Posts

Sky Ryders - Although they are a winterguard in Kansas now, even made semi's at WGI this year.

Freelancers - Just to hear their DM saying "sacramentofreelancerscorpstenhut" crazy..

One I haven't seen - The Madison Jr. Scouts - those were some of the toughest, locked on little kids you EVER saw.

Velvet Knights - Dude, you gotta love them.

Spirit of ATLANTA - Spirit of JSU just sounds weird.

LES ECLIPSES!!!!

I loved marching that corps. We'd come out first tour and basically suck out loud (schools in Quebec didn't let out until end of June). We'd get beat by A-60 corps (we were open class). I remember in 1986 we actually scored a 32% at one show. It was fun to see the look in the rookie members eyes, the "I can't believe I chose to march here" look.

But by mid July, we'd start getting our act together, we'd finish the show and just start kicking ### 2nd tour. We even beat 27th Lancers once (what a feeling of pride that was).

By DCI we'd be top 15 in open class.

What a great hard working bunch of people we had...really miss them.

Later,

Mike

1980 best year for bridgemen

1980 is good, but 1978 was smokin'.

And I would like to add the Black Knights.

Miami Devil Dogs hmmmmm -- I remember the Devil Dogs but they were from the gulf coast I thought, like Clearwater, St. Pete area.

I wonder if many remember Regiment Militaire they were only around for one season 1974 (merger of Stardusters & Bleu Raeders) but they weren't far out of finals..they played a wicked "Make Me Smile" great brass line. Had housing with them somewhere that year and met a few...but never saw then again. Guess the merger went sour or something. I still remember their blue, gold and white cadet style uni's... too bad they didn't last.
