Jared_mello
Some that people have mentioned: Magic 94 Spirit and Magic 98 Spirit 99??? Xmen 91 and 92 (the first hit in 91....one of the most beautiful chord progressions ive ever heard a corps play; they truly sound like an organ) Freelancers 91!!! I LOVE that show..... Spirit 01 Seattle 03 Phantom 94 My mind has gone blank....that's it for now.
steelcityrabbit
Two things I have to address here. 1. Is this not the historical dicussion meaning more than 10 years ago? 2. Under rated doesn't mean overall best. Having said that, (I feel better now ) my unbiased pick would be the General Butler Vagabonds, 1975. We beat Madison in M.A. at the AIO that year. Newseditor44
I have my own reasons for this, buyt the 1989 Freelancers hornline was pretty dang solid!
PeeJay
I guess the 1997 Pioneer hornline doesn't ring a bell to anyone (Riverdance). No very loud or exciting at all times but some very nice technical stuff....(ok so I marched)
LancerFi
1981 2-7 no bias at all....ahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!

BigSev
When I marched in the 70's with the Blue Stars, one group that seemed to always catch my ear was the Emerald Knights from Iowa. They always seemed to have some great lead soprano's and I would think to myself, "why don't they come to La Crosse and march with a top 12 corps?" bd5times
I always enjoyed listening to Sky Ryders when I had a chance.....which was typically at retreat. They had a gorgeous sounding hornline. One year, 82 I believe, they played an incredible version of "Happy Birthday" on Fourth of July out here in California. goalieguy
I don't want to sound like too much of a 'homer', but the first couple of years of the enlarged St. Croix Rivermen had some really good lines, even though a lot of kids decided to go out of town to play. Mostly local kids, too..very few out of towners. Pat
