ffernbus3
1970 Anaheim Kingsmen: "Yellow Submarine." I'm not percussion-adept enough to comment on technical difficulty, I just thought it was a nice little tymp-based tune. Not often you get to sing along with the drums. ffernbus3
I would have added "George Of Jungle" from 72 Anaheim as well, Dan. It was a choice between that and "Yellow Submarine." As I remember back, there was a roust beat that the AK tymps played back in the late 60s/early 70s that was the riff to "Spirit In The Sky," over and over. That line was always playing little songs. Another one of my favorites that Anaheim played was the "Good Humor Ice Cream Truck" song on bells right in the middle of a percussion feature...1969? But my favorite of all time is still Madison's "Dueling Banjos." That was great! RON HOUSLEY First drum corps instrument was bass drum.
