JimF-LowBari
I may be mistaken but wasn't Bill Hayes the original soloist? I know they played it as early as 1960, but Cherry Pink was their "production number" before that and it was Bill's signature tune. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Saw Cabs Alumni last two years at the Forum show in Harrisburg. One of those years it was announced that Cheery Pink was first played 50 years ago by the Cabs. Still a kick to hear it.
MikeD
For some unknown and irrelevant reason Duke and I were talking about things to do in Newark (I was commuting there for a while) and he mentioned seeing him with the ____________ Symphony/Orchestra. Now I'm curious. I'll ask him on Friday. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Give him a "hi" from me! He's a great guy. We used to drive to judge band shows together, esp after I moved to Central Jersey...he'd drive north and we'd meet at my NJ turnpike exit, 8A, and carpool to the shows together.
