Too true. All I was saying was that SCV played it prior to '80.

A very nice chart, if memory serves.

1972 Dukes Of Imperial Guardsmen Appalachian Spring

When they were just the IG in 68-69 I marched with them...a GSC corps from my home town in NJ, Livingston. My first field corps...the earlier one was a parade corps.

The Dukes part was added when they merged with the Old Bridge Dukes.

Understood. I was just intrigued enough by your comment that I wondered if they were the first, so that's why I looked it up on corpsreps.com.

My first show was the Ontario Provincial Championships in Waterloo, Ontario in July on 1970

and my last was the Canadian National Championships in North York, (Toronto) Ontario in August 1978 !!

A rather long career but none the lest I figured out that I travelled well over 160,000 miles in those 9 years!!

Would I do it all over again if I could ? ......I'll get back to you on that!!

First show: Lakefront Stadium in Kenosha, WI - Memorial Day Weekend 1968. (I think it snowed that year. It was REALLY cold!)

Last show with a junior corps: 1972 VFW Nationals at Metropolitan Stadium in Minneapolis, MN (We were 5th behind Cavies, Kilts, Argonne, and Bridgemen.)

Last senior show: Somewhere in the distant future.

I can’t remember the first show. It would have been late May or early June of 1970 with the Madison Jr. Scouts (age 11).

Last show – 1975, DCI Finals, Franklin Field, Philadelphia, PA (age 16).
