According to corpsreps.com, the first corps to play "Appalachian Spring" was the Des Plaines Vanguard back in '68. Walter Posted February 8, 2006 Share Posted February 8, 2006 (edited) My first show was the Ontario Provincial Championships in Waterloo, Ontario in July on 1970 and my last was the Canadian National Championships in North York, (Toronto) Ontario in August 1978 !! A rather long career but none the lest I figured out that I travelled well over 160,000 miles in those 9 years!! Would I do it all over again if I could ? ......I'll get back to you on that!! Last show with a junior corps: 1972 VFW Nationals at Metropolitan Stadium in Minneapolis, MN (We were 5th behind Cavies, Kilts, Argonne, and Bridgemen.)
