Jocko the Wonder Llama
1st 1980 home show, "Romeo and Juliet" as a B class corps. We also played Appalachian springs, 2 years before SCV did. Mind you, THEY did it better! :PLast 1987 DCI world championships, came in 26th, I think, in open class. I hate to break it to you kiddo, but SCV played Appalacian Spring back in '76-'77. BTW my first: Standstill at University of the Pacific - Stockton, CA '76 Last (junior): DCI prelims - Birmingham, AL '80.
apoch003
I'm not surprised. Our most memorable show was "Superman" in 83. We later found out the X-men had done it years earlier as well. D'OH!

byline
My first show would've been the Ventures' show in Kitchener on June 10, 1978 (I know this because I actually still have the teeny-tiny tour schedule that Oakland printed out for us that year; I scanned it and enlarged it so that I could actually read the thing). My last show would've been DCI prelims in Birmingham on Aug. 15, 1980. Normally, my last show would've been Canadian Nationals a week later, but as I recall, either they did not have that competition in 1980, or we chose not to go. Bleu Raeder
Junior -- 1st Show - New Orleans City Championship (that is not what it was called, but several corps from the area marched it) Last Show - DCI 1977
bluecoats88
First show (competition not standstill) was a show in Cleveland, Ohio in 1982 with Bluecoats. i believe we scored a 70 something in early june. Last show with Bluecoats was DCI Finals 1988. Last show performing (actually playing my instrument) was DCA finals in 1995 with Bushwackers. (In 1997 I taught the Grenadiers bass line and marched a Baritone hole, so that's why I stipulated actually playing instrument)
