Walter
Seriously, for me, the golden age of drum corps is 1976 and before. :P Old School is from 1977 to 1992 and the new school or whatever they call it today is from 1993 to present!!! B) So I guess that leaves me as a "Golden Age Old Schooler", I marched from 1969 to 1978!! Edited February 27, 2006 by ODBC
dckid80
For me Old School starts with the Scouts in '75 and ends with the Cadets in '83. New School is anything after that. I'm not qualified to comment on the Golden Age because I wasn't there to see it.
Goldpin
Oh great.....when 2006 is considered "old school" what will they call the mid-80s???That'll be like hearing Billy Idol on an oldies station.... The Neolithic! :D Which would put me back somewhere in the Jurassic. b**bs Edited February 28, 2006 by Goldpin
bluecoats88
for me it is pre-84 is old school and anything before the pit was grounded is golden age. i'm sure people will disagree with me. So based on your criteria golden age goes through 1981, and old school is the 2 year period of 1982 & 1983 since the pits first appeared in 1982. Well in that case I guess I fall into the old school catagory since I started marching in 1982.
LegalEagle50
i thought that was early 70's?
KeithHall
I see these young wipper snappers always talking about old school then saying 89 Cavaliers or some such. When do you consider old school. I think theres "old school" then "golden age" anything before 80 is old school and 69 is golden age. 1980 and less
