Contramaphone
I am almost positive that the 2004 Seattle Cascades Drum Major was Amy Scopa but also..in 2005, both were female. Erin Loepke and Terryl Banta, Terryl is also the drum major for '06 and I believe the assistant is also a female, but I have no idea how to spell her name, so I am not going to try :)
Marc66
Star: 1985, Not sure about 86 (may have been a DM pair that year), 87 (again, not sure), 88, 89, and 90. 91, 92 and 93 were guys. Hey Sam... Star actually did have a female DM in '88...I remember her out in CA @ the SoCal shows...wore a long flowing gown for the Porgy & Bess show... You mised the period between 90 and 91, Marc. I rememeber Becky Wood in 88....she looked great! I think 85 was Karen Rushman (sp), and 90 was Ashley Tappan. melloguy05
I completely agree. Jersey Surf had a female drum major in the early 2000s as well as the Spartans Julie Jenkins who was drum major for a few years and led them to a championship.I remember Blue Knights having one in the early 2000s as well, but I'm not sure if it was 2000 or not. Surf also had a female DM in 05 and will again in
madscout96
Cadets: 1992 (don't remember her name) The late Curt Gowdy said, "Joanna Allen is the first female drum major in the Cadets' 57 year history." I've watched the 1992 video so many times I didn't have to go watch it to remember her name.

JTE
Star did the year they won, I think. Bobby Hullett wouldn't appriciate being called a girl.
