Best music based on a film score.

Oh yeah, I forgot the Cavaliers Bond show of 2004. WOW, what a great show. Can't believe I forgot that one. One of my favorite Cavaliers shows ever.

Yeah, I can't believe I forgot it, too. For some reason it's odd to think they played film music.

4. 1993 Phantom Regiment - Bernard Herman's work was outstanding ("Death Hunt," i think). It was the closer, right? Someone can help here. Great stuff.

Yup. "Death Hunt" from "On Dangerous Ground" by Hermann

2003 Phantom Regiment doing the Lord's Prayer from the movie "King of Kings."

Only 40 years after the Sunrisers.

Movie themes were a mainstay of the activity in the 60's, due to the budget-busting Charlton Heston genre. I liked the Cavaliers' "Ten Commandments" a lot and Des Plaines got a lot of mileage from "Hair" (probably better remembered for the play than the movie). "King of Kings" and "Ben Hur" were beaten to death.

More recently, Southwind's "The Mummy" was their last show that I could tolerate.

So... way to go, Southwind!
