If the reason is/was to get them recorded and shipped out faster...stupid reason <**> . I gladly paid my $45 the past 8 or so years to get all of the D1 shows, but this year I'll have to pay $27 (19+shipping) and then another $33 for the APDs. For those who graduated 3rd grade, that's $45 last year vs. $60 this year, and half of those have to be downloaded. I was really looking forward to seeing what/who they decided to put on the final track of disc 4 (I was really hoping for an Academy inclusion). Guess not. That's where the mics are, and sound is as we all know, directional. Biggest culprits this year - SCV. Their pit wasn't that heavy live, but they pointed those things right at the shotgun mics... what else can you expect? Well, there's one recording that will be full of "glong-glong", then.
